Everyone is talking about AI. Frankly, it can get annoying. I’m going to try and not do that here.

While AI is a trendy topic, there are some really cool applications for your cleaning business that we should explore. Here are just a few that you can implement today!

Before we get there, join me on Thursday at 4pm CST for a webinar on how we’re using AI in our cleaning business to get to $1M this year. The webinar will be hosted in our private Airbnb cleaning community which you can join free for 7 days here.

AI Chat Bot

These can be incredibly useful for managing cleaners and clients. If you find yourself answering the same questions over and over again (like: the guests are still here, what do I do?) you need an AI chatbot.

Here is the drop dead simple explanation of how this works:

Your cleaners text a question to your OpenPhone number (or Slack channel). That message gets automatically sent to an AI (like ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) that has been trained on all your rules and answers. The AI writes back a response in seconds: like "wait 15 minutes, then text the host." The cleaner gets the answer, and you never had to touch your phone.

AI Voice Agents

I just started testing ours last week. I use GoHighLevel for our CRM. Now, if a customer calls after hours, the call is routed to an AI agent (I’d give it a 7/10 right now) and ideally the agent can schedule an on-site quote for us. It’s still not perfect and like I said, I’m still testing it. But I’m very optimistic about how this could help capture the leads that come in after hours.

AI Lead Follow Ups

When a new lead comes in, they should (ideally) be responded to within 60 seconds. If you don’t respond quickly, they might have already moved onto the next cleaning company on the list. But if you’re in a meeting or don’t know a potential customer is calling, you need an in-between solution. AI could be a good fit here.

We already have this locked in with a simple automation with zapier so a customer is never left waiting. As soon as they fill out the form on our website, they get this text:

“Hi (NAME)! Thanks for reaching out to Bonnie and a Broom. Are you looking for a one-time clean, recurring cleaning, or something else?”

AI takes this to a whole new level. If the customer provides additional details in the quote form like: “I have 3bd, 2ba, and a dog. Looking for a deep clean” the AI agent can respond based on the information provided and offer a quote or offer to schedule a phone call when you’re available.

These are just three exciting ways you can be using AI in your business. Join us for our call on Thursday in our community where I will walk you through how our AI voice agent works and what other improvements we’re making to our business because of AI.

P.S. - not convinced the community is right for you? Join free for 7 days here and test it out!

Until next time!
