I was sick of turning down jobs because we didn't have enough cleaners. It felt like such a weak excuse for not growing my business.
Always afraid of turning on ads because I didn’t want too many jobs. Always trying to protect my downside because I was afraid of failure.
The truth is, not having enough cleaners is (and always will be) your biggest obstacle to growth. Hiring the right talent is the biggest lever to growing your business.
Once you have the right people on the ship, turn on the marketing switch and grow baby grow!
My unique approach to finding cleaners
There are a lot of ways to find cleaners (indeed, craigslist, word of mouth, etc.). But after a while, the well can run dry.
So, I started to try something different to find good cleaners in my town.
It’s a pretty simple approach, but if done right, you can have hundreds of great cleaners at your fingertips.
Step 1. Create a local, private Facebook group for your trade (cleaners, painters, landscapers, plumbers, etc.). I did this and now have ~200 Airbnb cleaners I can pull from when needed.
Step 2. When a job pops up that you can’t fill with your regular cleaners, post the details in the group and start interviewing immediately.
It sounds simple enough but it takes some time and effort to build. A simple way to get your first 10-15 users is to look for cleaners who are promoting their businesses in other Facebook groups. Send them a quick note and invite them to join the group.
Omar, a business owner in the Same Day Turn community, posted this as a way to build his cleaner Facebook group

Frame it as a way to share jobs and resources with each other. No cleaner will turn it down if they truly want more jobs.
After a while, you might have 200 cleaners in your group that you can turn to whenever you need help covering a last-minute job.
If you do this, let me know! I want to know who has seen success with this method of getting more cleaners (like Omar).
P.S. Not sure what to look for in a great cleaner, I recorded a 5-part training on it that you can access here. Submit your email and I’ll email it right over to you.
Until next time!
Logan
