I quit my 6-figure job for a cleaning company

Like a lot of you, I always knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur.

But I didn’t take it seriously until some friends proposed a friendly competition. The challenge was simple: whoever makes the most money in 6 weeks wins.

5 weeks into the competition, I had made nothing. Then, my buddy sent me a tweet about how to start a cleaning business. I had nothing to lose so I jumped in.

The first job we booked was $500 (move-out clean). I found a cleaner on Facebook and pocketed $250 profit.

In my first year, we did $92K in revenue while working full-time at my day job.

Last year, I quit my corporate job and we pivoted to strictly Airbnbs. That year we did $242K in revenue.

Right now, we’re pacing to be at $600k - $700k within the next year with strong +30% net profits.

My story matters because it’s not unique. If your goal is to start a cleaning business and eventually quit your job, I’m living proof it's possible. I want to help you get there.

One of the most important ingredients to growing my business has been mentorship and finding my tribe.

Since I started my cleaning business, I have been involved in 4 different accountability groups / communities. I have also formed relationships with several mentors.

Some mentor relationships are informal like the guy I talk with at the gym who sold his pest control company for $40M. And some are formal like with my brother-in-law who I call every Friday to chat business. In each of these arrangements, the return on investment is massive.

Finding your community / mentor is a huge part for your success. No one is truly “self-made”. Not only do mentors and communities provide advice and support, but they help keep you accountable when you doubt if you can reach your goals.
