You may have seen news from Airbnb that hosts will soon no longer be able to ask guests to do basic cleaning tasks like stripping beds, starting dishwashers, and taking out the trash
This will make the cleaners' job more difficult and increase cleaning time required at each property. While this is going to increase our time, it should also increase cleaning rates.
Even if you charge a flat rate for your cleaning fee, the basis of that flat rate is an hourly rate. For example, if you charge $100 for a clean and you expect to spend 4 hours there, your implied hourly rate is $25/hr.
If you're now going to be required to stay at a property for another hour to wait for the dishwasher (or handwash dishes) then your flat rate cleaning fee needs to increase to maintain your same hourly rate (even if you charge flat rate)
