Your life is a mess. No really, it probably is. If you own a cleaning business, you know this is true. Maybe not physically messy but calendar-messy, notification-messy, and all around just chaos.
I know because I own a cleaning business. If you just signed up for this newsletter because I posted an ad about my 20-favorite ways to grow your cleaning business, then this newsletter is just a taste of what you can be expecting from me.
I own a cleaning business in the south and I’ve been running it for 4 years now. We specialize in residential cleaning (you know, the Johnsons who always seem to have their lives together because they can afford to hire cleaners). But my real love is for Airbnb / short-term Rental cleaning.
It was because of our short-term rental cleaning business that I was able to quit my 6-figure corporate job and focus just on the cleaning business.
This newsletter, attempts to bring a little order to the madness. By sharing stories from our business and most importantly, lessons and tools to help you. My goal is that you look forward to this newsletter every week because
It’ll make you laugh (or cry). Or maybe cry because you’re laughing so hard
It’ll teach you something that makes your business easier to manage & grow
If I don’t do both of those things, you can unsubscribe and my feelings won’t get hurt. But if you like this newsletter, I hope you stick around.
Why your life is a mess
I started this newsletter by telling you that your life was a mess. And it probably is! Mine was too. I realized that with all the things I was trying to accomplish in my business, I needed help. Not just phone-a-friend help, but permanent help. I needed a team member who could start to take things off my plate, answer the phone, and run the team.
I found that in a guy named Lee. Lee lives in the Philippines and for the first year of my cleaning business, he ran the show. He answered the phones, he booked customers, he even interviewed and onboarded cleaners for my business. He was great.
Today, I have 4 “Lee’s”. 4 folks in the Philippines who run my cleaning business so I can do things like write this newsletter. Here’s the beautiful thing about hiring help (especially from the Philippines). It’s the highest ROI move you can make.
You pay ~$5-$7/hr and they bring you thousands of dollars in new business every week. For example, my sales guy is named Ed. He lives in the Philippines and I pay him ~$1,600/mo (really high wage in the Philippines). But he consistently brings in $15k-$20k/mo to my cleaning business. We’re talking a ~12.5x ROI. Incredibly worth it.
Having a VA allows you to focus on the things that actually grow the business (marketing, hiring, standardizing, etc.) while a VA can help put out the fires that don’t require you.
A Challenge
If you don’t already have a VA and you’re consistently bringing in +$10k per month, you can afford it, and honestly, you should consider it. You can go to onlinejobs.ph and post a job. You’ll get 100s of applicants and will need to sort through in order to find the best ones. But if you find a good one, it will be well worth the effort.
If you don’t want to do all that work to find your rockstar Ed or Lee, I’m happy to help. Or if you’ve already hired a VA but never have time to train, him or her, consider joining our VA training program (picture below).
Either way, book a call with me here and I’d love to help nudge you in the right direction to grow your business and clean up the mess!

p.s. here’s a guide I put together on how to find/hire a VA for your cleaning business. Read it here
Until next time!
